Parent carer representative
Biography
Greetings! I'm Amy, a proud parent of three children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), each with their own unique needs. I have a degree in SEND, Diversity, and Inclusion from the University of Northampton. In addition to my studies, I also manage a thriving youth club in my local community.
My journey with the PCF began two years ago, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be part of the new West PCF. I firmly believe in the power of collective voice, where Parent Carers unite to address challenges, focus on solutions, and advocate for improved outcomes for our SEND children – not just for today, but for a brighter tomorrow.
When it comes to describing myself, I consider myself to be reflective, observant, occasionally reserved, with a sprinkle of humor, and someone who thrives when faced with challenges.
During my spare time, I cherish moments with my family, indulge in 90's music, various documentaries, and exploring new foods.
